A pair of parallettes will allow you to take advantage of the strength training benefits of a gymnast. The key benefit to using parallettes for body-weight strength training is that you are elevated off the ground, which allows for a deeper range of motion during many common movements. There are a multitude of exercises that you can perform with varying degrees of difficulty. Here are a few basic drills that you can play around with; most of all go out there and have some fun!
